time goes quickly

So i had two days off in a row.... YAY!!! However I didn't get everything accomplished I wanted. I'm sleepy and cranky now and don't see myself doing anything tomorrow before work.... Lets see my first day off I got some major laundry done. Then I tagged along for Jeff's Christmas shopping although I'm not sure what the point was I don't remember giving him any input/advice however I'm happy for whatever time we have together... and I do love Christmas! Today I ended up watching my crazy nephew for 13 hrs. We ate, watched old movies and then watched all the lovely Christmas movies on the family channel or whatever. He LOVED the Polar Express and some other movie with that kid from that Big Daddy or whatever movie with Adam Sandler... anyway... why is it I never seem to have enough money no matter how hard I try and budget lol. So I'm off to look at more jobs and then sleep.

Just a quick update

This year for Christmas I took Jeff on a dinner train ride to TN and we stayed in an actual train car for our room at the Chattanooga choo choo. Pretty cool stuff. I have been really busy with my seasonal employment but after two days of "hell" (Thursday and Friday) I've had good days. I ran into Peter during my lunch break and for dinner Sheena called and we had a girls night out. Yay. Tomorrow I'm going Christmas shopping with Jeff and Wednesday hopefully Julie and I have plans. Oh and Bahnson turned another year older and we had good food thanks to Jim and yummy ice cream cake with way too many candles. lol. Just kidding.

lingerie, xmas, and thanksgiving

I work in lingerie.
I never knew there was so much to learn about it. about different bra types (more then 20), different body types, how breast tissue grows differently on different women. Wow. Lots of stuff I had no idea about. I've always known how to measure myself to find the "correct" size. But yeah a lot more went into bras then I'd ever imagined. lol. Kinda embarrassing considering... I wear them.

So. How many people do you have to shop for --- for Christmas? I think the magic # this year is 15 for me. However I might be taking part in an extended family gift exchange I'm not sure if we're doing one this year or not. Or if it's just for the kiddos.

Thanksgiving is in 3 days! That's crazy. I have lots of baking to do.

What an amazing/busy first week at work. I have survived and I think I'm going to enjoy being in the dept I'm in! I'm really excited about it actually. I don't work again till Monday so this weekend will be spent working around the house and with school projects.

I'm done Christmas shopping for all of my friends but one... done shopping for one of my nephews and done with half of my gifts for my parents... So yeah A little more then half way there baby!

I'm starting to loose weight again after a little break from the whole diet crap....

Oh and one very important item came in the mail today making my day. Despite sitting at the SS office with well an interesting bunch while I waited to get a replacement card, standing at the walmart site to store pick up for 30 minutes while everyone ignored me, and not finding my size in pants at Kohls.

We had Einstein put down yesterday. :( I was really sad about the whole thing.

Aunt Helen
We also drove to Shelby we'd been trying to call Aunt Helen all day... then we get there 2 sherrifs cars and an ambulance were in the driveway with no one in the vehicles and no one in sight. Wow. I had a heart attack. She's fine though just had a fall.

4 weeks

10 to 15lbs...

That's what I want to do weight wise...

In 4 weeks I have a special event... I'm going to make it happen walking with bean. Watching what I eat. It'll happen.

Well as some of you know I had one interview earlier this week and another today. I'm really hoping I get the one I had today. We'll see what happens. Send good luck vibes my way please...

On another note I am completely happy with life right now. Planning Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Working out my Christmas lists for my family and friends. Right now it just feels like I'm on cloud nine.

Weddings

On another note... I've been thinking about how I want my wedding to be. I've been planning this since I was 5 and a flower girl for my cousin's wedding.

Over time I've wanted big weddings by this I mean a lot of guests, I've wanted five course meals, and dessert bars, a childrens march, multiple mohs, pictures of all the other brides, family cake toppers to be centerpieces, pictures of us to be centerpieces, I've wanted all my great aunts and uncles to be honored as grandparents. I've wanted different varriations of being walked down the aisle, i've wanted to get married at Gilboa, PCUMC, Fletcher, Biltmore, Grove Park Inn and about a thousand other places, I've wanted two dresses, to be barefoot, to have a "weekend wedding" with white water rafting, bowling, movies, and sleepovers with my cousins. Get married and then go to the reunion the next day.

What do I want today I wouldn't mind getting married outside with a waterfall and being barefoot and just walking to him.... not any attendants but maybe a flower girl and ring barer. Or maybe a garden. I wouldn't mind two ceremonies one where I just walk to him and it's all about - us! Our reception is just pizza and ice cream cake. And then a more traditional one in a church.

Who knows what I'll want by the time I actually get married but anything that costs thousands that i don't have isn't worth it. I don't need to go into a marriage being in debt nor do I need to put my parents into debt.

Sorry I felt like rambling off on this.

funerals

Aunt Estelles funeral was well -- I didn't like it. I like personal funerals where people talk about the person, their accomplishments, what made them - them, where someone tells a story. Why people will miss them. Where people actually cry because they remember the good. So... Aunt Estelle's pretty much talked about how she was Uncle Garth's wife and how she was a mother.... That's what she did that wasn't really who she was though, they were simply life roles. I don't want to die and someone say she's a daughter of so and so the sister to her brothers. I want someone to say she always went out of her way for her loved ones, She loved babies, kids, animals, Mission work etc... Something along those lines. And if there is a memory that brings a smile to whoever speaks its face then dammit share it. I want people to laugh and cry and realize that I was a person. And why I was me. And why I will be missed and why I was loved.

I liked Uncle Garths, Grandmoms, and Uncle Georges.

I don't like preachers/ pastors who use this time of remembrance or grievences for time to save everyone and preach about religion. You are there to honor someone. Act appropriately.

Aunt Estelle

I found out today that Aunt Estelle passed away...
I thought I'd share a story
Uncle Garth had to ask her quite a few times to marry her before she said yes. He borrowed a car from a friend and he, aunt estelle and grandmom who was 14 at the time road to Gaffney SC where he married her (no waiting in that town) then he drove the girls back and took the car back and walked back from his friends house it must have been far away because for some reason I think he said it took two hours... lol.
Aunt Estelle said she didn't want to go off and marry some boy she'd spend her whole life with boys and she was right I think there was 17 kids in her family and only one sister the oldest. At one point it was her and 12 boys at home... So Uncle Garth had to win her over I guess. lol

what's new?

I'm trying to get a seasonal job to earn some extra $$ in addition to being the nanny. Fun times... Life has been very busy lately. Planning next semester, job applications, dates, Christmas shopping, and lots of holiday planning, and trying to just get through the daily grind with a smile on my face.
